I love the photographer community in Hampton Roads. It is full of life and a friendly community. Rather than fierce competition, I have found that the local photographers are some of my cherished friends. I recently worked with Cortese Photography and Film as a second photographer for a classy city wedding at Common House in Richmond, Virginia. This unique venue provided the perfect location for Rachel & Loren to celebrate their marriage with their cherished family and friends.
I appreciate a good city location. While I am not usually one for crowds, I enjoy city weddings’ liveliness and chic aesthetic. Rachel put a lot of work into creating an elegant, airy atmosphere with many personal touches and expert DIY details. It was a joy to see her vision come to life. It was so fun to photograph each expertly crafted piece that told the story of this charming couple.
It only took a few minutes after seeing Rachel & Loren together to recognize their strength as a couple. Their energy was synchronized, and they both exuded happiness. Their love was palpable, spreading to everyone around them. Family and friends gushed with love for the pair as they shared heartfelt memories and well wishes.
I was touched by each meaningful moment throughout the day. Every minute was pure gold, from the essential details to the tender acts of affection. This couple reminded me of why I am a wedding photographer. The little moments of their lives added up to such a beautiful celebration enjoyed by everyone. It was an honor to be a part of preserving this special day. I wish them a lifetime of happiness!
