Even if you're working with a wedding planner or you're planning a simple wedding, there are likely still a lot of moving pieces left leading up to your big day. I've photographed more weddings than I can count and I'm happy to share everything I've learned along the way!

I am a big fan of engagement sessions for a few reasons. Not only do they allow you to get comfortable in front of the camera, they also give you the opportunity to showcase your personalities in a more casual setting that is significant to the two of you.
Engagement sessions can take place anywhere from immediately following a proposal to just a few days before the wedding. I’ve found that there isn’t a “good” or “bad” time to take your photos. I normally plan sessions based on a particular “look” a couple has in mind, spring flowers for example, or based on schedules.

We check-in several times before the wedding to chat about timeline specifics, special details, family formal shot lists, special traditions and anything else I should know about your big day.
While I normally don't send this questionnaire until closer to the wedding, please don't hesitate to let me know if you have questions during the planning process!
4. Wedding Prep

It's finally here! The day the two of you say "I Do" and dance the night away surrounded by your family and friends.
Just know I am excited to celebrate and capture your wedding day. It's going to be awesome.
5. The Big Day

You can expect your photos to be delivered via an online gallery within about eight weeks of your wedding. At that time, I'll also send over details about preserving your images through prints and albums.
I hope the relationship doesn't end after I deliver your photographs. I want to hear about the adventures of married life. And if you decide to have kids, I'd LOVE to document your growing family (something I only offer to previous wedding couples of mine!)

All wedding collections are specially designed to cover your entire wedding day so your story will be told from start to finish. You can also customize your experience to make it fit your story perfectly.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes! I offer complimentary engagement sessions when you book any full-day collection. I love them and recommend them to all my couples!
I take a limited number of weddings per year, so the earlier you can book, the better! I tend to book about 12-18 months in advance.

Yes, I include a second photographer for most wedding collections. Having two sets of hands and eyes on a wedding day makes everyone feel at ease.
For weddings located in Eastern VA, I do not charge any travel fees. There is a fee for any travel outside Eastern VA, based on the location. Inquire for more info.
